When the doors of our shop opened for the first time in November 2014 a long held dream became a wonderful reality, to recreate the toy shops of our childhood, shops which filled you with wonder when you walked through the doors. Our shop is brimming with traditional and educational toys which promote learning through play and are made to start adventures and build skills. Our toys are sourced fro

m all over the world, from local artisan suppliers to international companies who have been making quality toys for generations. The common link between us and our suppliers is a shared passion for well designed toys made to last through generations of play using responsibly sourced materials.

EDIT - Thanks everyone, the house will soon be on its way to its new home on the peninsula. To all our local Lefevre Peninsula Kindergartens, Childcare Centres and Primary Schools who have supported us over the years we have one lonely Doll's House left in the shop, if anyone is interested in taking it off our hands free of charge just let me know. It's a corner unit measuring 1.1 metres tall and 75cm wide at the front, it is Australian made from solid pine timber and finished in a non toxic matt lacquer, it would also work well as a book shelf or display unit. After nine years The Lighthouse Toy Shop is now closed, in that time we have sold hundreds of metres of toy train tracks, a library's worth of beautiful books, enough wooden blocks to build a mid-size city, an infinite number of animals and every imaginable toy under the Sun. To everyone who has supported my little shop whether you were with us from the very beginning or found us in the last few weeks, I appreciate you all and thank you for your support. I hope everyone enjoys their toys for generations to come.

Last chance dance! For everyone who has been asking we will be open for the next few days while customers pick up furniture and shop fittings from us, so if you're passing by you are more than welcome to check out what's left of our toy stock but come 5pm Thursday we will close the doors for good because I don't think there will be much left by then and also I have a date with my bed.

If anyone can use some fake snow [made from recycled milk cartons] or handcrafted cumulonimbus nimbus clouds or display stands or storage boxes, everything is available for sale from us today and tomorrow only, prices range from $5-$20, the unicorns are no longer available though as they pranced out of the shop a few weeks ago.

For everyone who missed out on this week's final clearance sale we will be open for one more day tomorrow [Monday] from 10am-5pm and this will absolutely positively be your very last chance to pick up a bargain from us with 20% off books and 70% off everything else in the shop. Also, this is an old photo so the doll and puppy are no longer available, but it's one of my favourites, then again everything in the shop is one of my favourites.

Don't mind us as we close the door on our last Christmas in the shop, we're taking a short break over the festive season but we'll be open again from Tuesday 2nd of January until Saturday 20th of January for our absolutely positively end of an era sale.
