Beeswax Food Bags are ever so handy. Great for storing fruit, vegies, herbs...well just about anything really.

Today is World Ocean Day.
This day is a reminder of the critical importance of protecting our oceans and marine life.
Our oceans cover 70% of the planet's surface and play a vital role in sustaining life. From providing oxygen, to feeding billions of people and also hosting 80% of the world's biodiversity, the ocean is essential to our existence.
Australia, as a country surrounded by ocean, it forms part of our culture, our psyche.
Our beach culture is strong. A national pastime characterised by our love of the outdoors and a deep connection to the ocean. It symbolises the Australian way of life.
The health of our oceans are under threat from pollution, bycatch, global warming and overfishing,
World Ocean Day is not just a day of awareness but a call to action.
It's an opportunity for individuals and communities worldwide to unite in efforts to protect and preserve our oceans for future generations.
We can all play a part in protecting our beautiful oceans by reducing our plastic use, lowering our carbon footprint, conserving water, supporting sustainable fishing practices, participating in ocean clean-ups, supporting ocean protection policies and marine conservation efforts.

One of the world's largest international days for the environment.
It's a day to not only raise awareness about environmental protection, climate change, pollution, biodiversity conservation and sustainable living but to also inspire action.
The theme this year is Climate Action.
The planet has been sending us signals - rising seas, raging wildfires, heatwaves, melting glaciers.
We've all heard the warnings, about the targets and distant deadlines.
Let's take heed of those signals, those warnings.
Let's come together to protect the planet we all share.
Every sustainable choice made today helps shape a better tomorrow.

Today is WA Day here in...well WA 😆 and a public holiday.
We had planned to head down to Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour for their WA Day Festival. The festival had loads of free events like cultural performances, live entertainment and family friendly activities to enjoy.
A few we were very interested in seeing - Taiko On - Thunder Unleashed, Masskara Street Dance, Yaolin Dragon Dance, Acrobatch Circus and the Smoking Ceremony. Unfortunately the festival was cancelled due to forecast unsafe wind conditions and understandably so.
A severe weather warning has been in place for most of the weekend throughout much of the South West land division and it's been pretty wild in some places.
So I guess I'll pull out the iron, ironing board and beeswax and make Beeswax Food Wraps. That seems to be my go to on cold rainy days 😆
