Our hearts go out to the family of Steven Mattaboni, a devoted Perth father and passionate ocean lover who was tragically taken in a shark attack at Rottnest Island on Saturday.

Steven was an avid fisherman and spearfisherman who lived and breathed the ocean — one of our own community.

He leaves behind his wife Shirene and their two young daughters, the youngest just 4 months old.
