WA Music Co We are a WA based retailer selling and hiring classical and jazz instruments from student models to high end pieces.

We have a firm belief that every player deserves quality, whether they be professional musicians or young children starting out. In a competitive market place we are well aware of price points and value for money and go to great lengths to make quality available to all buyers. We have years of research and training behind us. When you buy an instrument from WA Music you are not dealing with just a retailer, but with musicians, repairers, piano tuners and luthiers with years of specialist knowledge about the instruments that we sell. We offer advice on repairing, rebuilding, voicing, regulation and care of our instruments. Sourcing the best products is somewhat of an obsession for us. We make frequent trips to Japan, London, Glasgow, Paris and Cremona, in the search for the finest antique and vintage instruments. We have the exclusive Australian dealership for many high end European products and have long standing relationships with our international suppliers meaning we are at the top of our game in sourcing exciting new products and accessories. We proudly stand behind every product we sell and offer warranties and repairs on the premises of sold and hired instruments. We value sustainability, a future of quality goods that last, craftsmanship, precision, honesty, fostering life long relationships with our clients and, of course, music. Our store can be found at Shop 1, Morris Place Innaloo Western Australia – we’d love to see you there.

A slightly wonky wander through some of our vintage violin collection, accompanied by the beautiful sounds of the WA Harp Ensemble, performing live in our store for the Harp Society of Western Australia's recent AGM.

We're rather better with instruments than cameras, but we hope you'll enjoy the wander anyway!

There's something about harp music that makes everything feel a little gentler, softer and more beautiful.

If you've ever been curious about learning the harp, or you're already a player looking for a lovely musical community, we thoroughly recommend getting to know the The Harp Society of Western Australia Inc. .

There's something quite magical about the sound of a harp, especially when several are playing together.

We loved welcoming the Harp Society of WA to our store for their AGM on Sunday 4 October, with a beautiful live performance from the WA Harp Ensemble.

If you've ever thought about learning the harp, or you're already a player looking to connect with other enthusiasts, the Harp Society of WA is a wonderful community to get to know.

And really, is there another instrument quite as ethereal as the harp?

What accompanies a fine handmade Italian instrument?

This certificate belongs to a cello by Cremonese maker Giorgio Grisales. It records the materials and construction of the cello, together with photographs, measurements and identifying details specific to the individual instrument.

More than paperwork, it is the first chapter in the cello’s recorded story—created with the instrument and intended to remain with it throughout its life.

We’re heading to Cremona soon, and we would love to take your questions with us.

What would you ask a modern Italian violin maker?

Perhaps you are curious about how a handmade violin develops its voice, what players should listen for when trying a fine instrument, how makers choose their materials, or what makes Italian violin making so distinctive today.
