Saturdays are now open for the next generation of creatives… while still welcoming our regulars who know and love the class.

Children and grandchildren are invited to join for a relaxed, hands-on sewing session where creativity meets practical skill-building. It is a chance to learn, explore, and create in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Designed for ages 8 and up, each session blends guidance with creativity, helping bring projects to life while building confidence along the way.

A morning centred around creativity, community, and connection.

Whether it is about learning something new, progressing a project, or enjoying time with like-minded people, Janome Classes offer a space to create, connect, and feel inspired.

If stitches are looking loose, tight, patchy, or inconsistent, the problem is often something small and easy to correct.

Check thread tension - Incorrect tension can cause stitches to look uneven on the top or underside of the fabric. A small adjustment can make a big difference.

Replace the needle - A worn, bent, or blunt needle may struggle to form clean stitches. A fresh needle is often the quickest fix.

Match the needle and thread to the fabric - Light fabrics, stretch fabrics, denim, and heavier materials all perform better with the right needle and thread combination.

Sometimes, a few simple checks are all it takes to get beautiful, even stitches again.

Sessions run Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and each class is $35 per session. Bring a machine, bring the materials and settle in for a relaxed morning of sewing at your own pace. Guidance is available from the team whenever support is needed.

Tea, coffee and water are always on hand to keep the creativity flowing. A welcoming space, friendly faces and plenty of inspiration are ready for anyone looking to learn, practise or simply enjoy time behind the machine.

A gentle warning, though… once the creativity starts rolling, the only thing harder than threading a needle is trying to leave on time.
