The Wool Inn is a specialist retail shop which has been catering to the needs of the enthusiastic hand knitter and crocheter since 1972. Our staff are keen knitters themselves and are ready to help you with your latest project. We carry a wide range of stock from brands such as Malabrigo, Noro, Patons, Katia, Sirdar, Juniper Moon, Rowan, Cleckheaton, Panda, Shepherd, Bellissimo, Fiddlesticks, Heirloom, and Ella Rae. We also carry embroidery products, patterns, DMC and Anchor threads and needlework kits. Other items include knitting needles, crochet hooks and accessories from Clover, Knit Pro and Lykke

Thursdays staff pick combines both knitting and crochet in the one design. Grace sweater by Agnieszka Reduch is a charted pattern, worked top down. Bess used Sesia Iride for the multi-toner yoke and Luxor for the knitted body section.

Wednesday staff pick is the new release DanDoh patttern Rain.
Anita made it in Malabrigo Susurro colour Sunset in size 2 cropped length.
Took 3 skeins.

Tuesday’s staff pick, DanDoh Lily in Juniper Moon Zooey claystone.
Knitted in pieces from the bottom, with the sleeves worked out from the body.
Bess is wearing size 2 and took 3 balls Zooey.

This weeks staff summer picks, great styles and perfect summer yarn combinations to keep you inspired over the warmer months. Anita made the PetiteKnit Anker’s summer shirt in Fibra Natura Papyrus. Anita is wearing size M and takes 5 balls.

Our wonderful knitting community celebrated today.
We were treated to some gorgeous projects some complete, some in progress and some... fun stash enhancement.
The amazing colours, fibres and textures of malabrigo yarn make it worthy of celebration.
October is month and we raised funds for a worthy cause providing cancer care nurses, with malabrigo skeins as the sought after prizes.
Special thanks to Janine and everyone who took part in the day.

On Saturday, October 24 10am-2pm , knitters and crocheters are welcome to come together at The Wool Inn for a day dedicated to colour, creativity, and community as they will be gathering around the world.

As part of fundraising for McGrath Foundation, we ask you to buy a $5.00 raffle ticket. The prize is a Malabrigo skein of your choice.
Come and knit with us and share the love by bringing or wearing your malbrigo garments.

Feel Good Friday… yummy treats filled with lots of fibre!!
Su has been having lots of fun knitting these donut softies for her daughter’s pre-school. With the studioknit pattern being in the smaller size, Su very cleverly adapted the design and made them bigger so the little ones can sit on them during storytime. A very soft and tactile little treat in lots of yummy colours and with the sprinkles embroidered on in glitter sparkles.
Su has gifted Bess and Anita a Christmas ornament donut each which we have on display in the shop for you to come and look at.

When you can’t decide between crochet or knitting…… why not do both!!
This design by Agnieszka Reduch comes with the option to work the main body section in knitting or crochet fabric.
The Grace Sweater is worked from the top down, and you can choose the sleeve length – short or long. Pattern download file includes a chart (not written pattern) and instructions, with a short instruction for transitioning from the crocheted yoke to the knitted body and sleeves is also included.
Pattern available on Ravelry.
Bess made it in Sesia Iride for the top yoke and then changed to knitting in with a tonal shade for the body.
New Iride colours have just been released for summer and available instore and online.
