MEET THE TEAM | LEGACY MEDALS 🎖️
My name’s Josh.
For more than 14 years, I served in emergency services, from volunteering through to policing. Service has always been part of my life, with my grandfather proudly serving in the RAAF.
Legacy Medals began during one of the hardest periods of my life. After being medically retired due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and multiple physical injuries, I was trying to find something that gave me purpose again. Working with medals became a hobby but quickly grew to more than just a hobby, it became a way forward.
There was something grounding about helping families honour service, preserve history, and sometimes uncover stories that had been sitting quietly for years.
I’ve always been particular about my own medals and how they’re worn. To me, they represent pride, sacrifice, and moments that mattered. That mindset became the foundation of Legacy Medals.
Quality isn’t optional when it comes to service. If it’s not something I’d be proud to wear myself, or place in my own family’s hands, it doesn’t leave our care.
What started as something personal has grown into much more than a business. Legacy Medals is a place where stories are treated with respect, service is honoured properly, and community comes first.
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work alongside veteran-owned and emergency-service businesses and it has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.
I’ll be honest we’re still learning. We’re not perfect. We have never run a business before But we care, we care about doing this the right way, we care about making those mistakes that we will learn from and help us grow, we care about every single customers story. We are truely grateful for the trust, patience, and support we continue to receive.
Anyway, enough from me, time to get back to the work bench. ANZAC Day orders are now open. If you need your medals sorted for Anzac Day fill in the link below and I’ll be in touch.
