Forage & Folk began with my candle business - My Scents Handmade - in 2015. I wanted to explore my favourite sense, smell, plus enjoy a crafty hobby and form of income while I was studying full-time. I was always interested in capturing personal, unique and memorable scents – scents that evoked or were associated with a memory, feeling, or place, rather than just a generic ‘nice’ scent. I began to
sell at local markets, be stocked in shops, and sell online through Etsy. A keen gardener with an interest in medicinal herbs and plants and natural healing, I then began to make my own simple skincare and bath products, always honouring natural ingredients. Eventually I hope to add a range of teas to Forage & Folk, plus more natural skincare. Lastly, my mum is a keen crafter and crocheter, and I am so happy to offer her gorgeous crochet amigurumi dolls and toys as special, unique gifts. My intention with Forage & Folk is to have quality, personal, affordable products that are unique in the market, made with love and care, and that help to nourish my customer’s bodies and minds. They are natural where possible and support good environmental practices, and celebrate all that is wonderful about the natural world.
