Due to COVID-19, changes in production product and staffing availability, Bagdad Pottery is regrettably unable to take on orders for production of custom named mugs for the foreseeable future.

Just a quick update to advise that the online shop is temporarily closed while we undergo some procedural restructure. This is due to the owner having to resume full time work teaching leaving only 1 person to make mugs. The overall process of making mugs is tediously time consuming and there is not enough time in the day for a single hooman to physically deal with. Had a busy day yesterday packaging up 25+mugs into 16 packages. Lots of tape and reusing resources like cushion stuffing and cardboard from empty boxes to help packaging mugs for a safe trip!
Then the PC didn’t work for labels , thank god for smartphones- printed from my phone !

We can take orders online for any name or nickname you want with a 12 character limit. Orders can be placed online for up to 4 mugs but we do have a minimum period of 28 days turnaround as we queue production.

Did you know our mugs can also hold soup or anything really! I personally prefer mine to overflow with never ending coffee but perhaps Im more in need of an I.V drip!

Well we are back online on the website for orders of custom made mugs are available with a limit of up to 4 mugs.
We have had a slight increase to $35 per mug and postage has been adjusted to reflect proper postage costs!
It will still take us some time to make each custom made mug as we are operating only on love and zero staff.
This is a real family business that is a hard slog as we want to give the best possible product! Any questions please feel free to direct thru the website.

Due to staff resigning suddenly we are in a back log state of production and as such we have also had to consider pressing health issues as a priority.

We have therefore temporarily closed our online shopping site . We apologise for any inconvenience this causes people wanting our mugs but the process to make each mug is very involved as they are handmade not factory made.

Unfortunately one of our Kilns overheated during final firing and destroyed over 70 mugs prior to christmas. We are still working hard on completing existing orders.
We will be back in full swing early February 2018 good health withstanding.
