We are beyond excited to have welcomed the entire range of Edyta Sitar fabric range Special Delivery by LBQ into the store this afternoon!

This beautiful range has a mix of florals, cute as button houses, ginghams and blenders perfect for any project you may have in mind.

Máire was up the ladder hanging quilts all the while the inside of her brain sounded like this song, looking around at how pretty it all is!

A beautiful range suitable for many a pattern but we have recommended Zoe Clifton pattern Moody Blues Dresden.

We also have precuts available if you’re looking to experience the entire range!

On my lap tonight are pieced hexagons. Did you know Zoe Clifton has designed 7 sets of pieced hexagons and I have only just made them into a quilt!! Previously they were all on sample boards in the shop but the time has come to sew them all together and make a quilt.

All sewn by hand so it's a slow job.

Zoe Clifton quilting her new pattern, Poppies Patch, in readiness for release.

Featuring a lovely mix of Poppie Cotton Moda Fabrics United Notions | Top fabric & notions distributor and Devonstone Collection Fundamentals fabrics this quilt uses a mix of appliqué and pieced blocks. A real love letter to patchwork with all different style blocks.

Approximately 72 inches square or 1.85 metres square.

Using the Brother Australia Sewing BQ3100 Zoe is quilting a style called “loop de loop” using the free motion foot. The Sew Easy quilt gloves allow Zoe to grip the quilt with ease and not put her shoulders under too much pressure.

We haven’t sped up the video to allow you to see the speed at which you can easily free motion allowing you to custom quilt your own work.

Poppie’s Patch is available for preorder now and the Brother Australia Sewing BQ3100 is always available for demonstration in the shop.

John is super excited to introduce you to the new range of scissors he’s just brought in.

The Pin Tailoring Scissors are available in 3 sizes, ranging in price from $60-$75 and cut fabric as if it is butter.

John is showcasing them cutting through 6 thicknesses of fabric and as you can see it’s a perfect cut with no movement and so pressure on John to do so.

These are not on the website yet so please ring the shop if you would like to secure a pair.

If there is two things we love at Bellarine Sewing Centre (other than the obvious - fabric!) it’s the long arm machine and beginner student’s completing their first quilts.

The best thing? When beginner students’ quilts are on the long arm machine!

The lovely Donna completed her beginners quilt using Zoe Clifton Garden Lattice Pattern and Two Green Zebras - Distributor fabrics. The panto is Ginger Flower and really brings the entire quilt together.

Donna was so excited to hear her quilt was on the frame only to then say “now I just need to learn how to bind it!”
