So many cycles. Which to choose.
Many machines now have 15 or 20 minute cycle. These are fine to use if your clothes just need a freshen up. For dirty sweaty sport or work clothes, a 90 minute cycle with water temp set to 60 degrees is far better. Modern washing machines don’t use much electricity or water, even on long cycles.

Washing machine not draining? Button trap/filter stuck? Don’t force the filter. It will break because something is half way in filter and still half way in the feeder hose. Some machines filters are easily accessible from underneath. Some you need to take the whole front off. Hair pins, tooth picks, nails and screws are commonly found in stuck filters.

Half of the houses in Lara have an oven like or similar to this Technika. I have repaired many over the years and have many common spare parts in stock. One trip repair saves me time and you money.

Best tip on using any oven is SWITCH YOUR FUNCTION ON FIRST. (Oven, grill, etc) and then set your temperature.
Most common fault is function selector switches burning out due to turning temperature on first.
Then be gentle with your door. Doors are very
heavy and door hinges are prone to fail if you slam doors open or closed or rest heavy pots on them.

When machine not in use, Taps on or off ?
Back in the ‘old days’ when most of us had heavy duty Australian or American made machines such as Hoover and Simpson, Whirlpool and Kleenmaid, you could get away with leaving your taps on. These days with machines and hoses built to a price, reading most instruction manuals, manufacturers (and I), recommend turning your taps off. This is to avoid coming home to a burst hose and flooded house. Manufacturers also recommend replacing your inlet hoses , including most brands of dishwasher every 5 years.
I supply, and/or fit the best quality hoses available on the market for most brands of washing machines at very competitive prices. Thanks for reading. David.

Quality repairs and hundreds of spares for Fisher Paykel, Bosch, Samsung, Simpson and many other washing machines. This 10kg Fisher Paykel would go out of balance until I called out and fixed it. Total cost was $230 including parts and gst. Not sure whether to repair or replace. Call outs from $55.00 in Lara and not much more in other areas. Estimates can be done by phone call. 0439020120

If you are trying to clean out the button trap/pump filter on your front load washer and it is stuck, don’t force it. They are plastic and will break. The reason why it is stuck is there is something half in it and still half way in the hose leading into the filter/trap. The only way to clean out the filter/trap now is by disconnecting and cleaning out the tub drain hose that runs into it. It may have a pencil, stick, long screw or in this case, plastic tooth flossers stuck. David can do this, quick, cleanly, (won’t flood your laundry) and competently. Best service and best price.
