A current favourite of Alice's - The Ending Writes Itself by Evelyn Clarke

A remote Scottish island, a mysterious death and the opportunity of a lifetime brings six authors together for one killer weekend.
A classic feeling locked-room mystery with contemporary characters, this compulsive thriller had me on the edge of my seat. The twists and turns are brilliantly executed, and the literary references add an extra layer of fun. A thoroughly enjoyable murder mystery, as well as a sharp satire of the publishing industry. Great fun! - Alice

Two wildly different but both sharply searing takes on the possible implications of the 'Trad-wife' movement - one a creeping, unhinged horror, the other deeply satirical psychological thriller.

What an incredible cover! 😍 Canon by Paige Lewis has (in my opinion) one of the most fun covers of the year, and the most phenomenal reviews!

'I promise that you have never read a book like Canon. It's a scorchingly brilliant, wildly funny, and deeply moving epic. I loved it so much that upon finishing Canon, I immediately began rereading it' - JOHN GREEN

'I keep staring at the words I've written to try and describe this novel; words like warm and hilarious and earnest and gorgeous and deeply weird. But none of them really capture its unique brand of magic or Lewis' singular voice. Perhaps it's hard to find the language because that's what Canon does: gives us new language' - CARMEN MARIA MACHADO

May We Feed the King by Rebecca Perry dances between the lives of a historical subject who risks the future of his kingdom and a woman who turns to the past to hide from her present. Laced with desire and longing, it is a playful, stirring meditation on history and storytelling: on what makes a King 'Great', and a life meaningful.

🍄 Mantle by Romy Ash. An utterly unique novel about a mysterious sickness spreading through Tasmania - described as 'exquisite', 'ferocious' and 'dazzling'

"I think about how the earth likes to cough things up. Bones, fossils, slivers of rock, like an interior self. How it likes to spew gas, lava, smoke. How the earth under our feet is anything but solid. How in fact, the surface itself is constantly in movement, teeming. And inside, inside, in the mantle, we can only guess."
