Hi everyone,
In case anyone is wondering what I am up to now that I no longer have my bookshop 😊
I had a break for 6 months, and caught up with friends and got plenty of relaxation doing things I enjoy.
But I have now gone back to my original career as a receptionist /administrative officer, this time at Safetech in Moe.
The first few weeks working full time again have been so mentally and physically exhausting.
But all the staff there have been very welcoming and helpful, so I am enjoying it.
I still miss my book shop and all my customers, many of whom became my friends, but I am glad I gave it a go for 2 years.
I also miss all the other lovely business owners in Rutherglen Rd and Monash Rd Newborough

Well, I have been closed for a few weeks now, and already missing so many of you coming in for your regular chats.
So I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year and hopefully see you around somewhere in the future

Hi everyone 👋

Someone once said that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can go through in life 😱😱😱

Well, I can tell you that packing up a shop full of books etc and moving it all to my house, is right up there with it !!!

I am exhausted, and completely surrounded by boxes and tubs.
Still lots more to go, but so thankful for all the help I had all day today from the lovely man who bought all my book cases and offered me his trailer.

Still have my workstation ( desk ) available for sale, as 3 times now I have been let down by interested buyers who never showed up !!!

If anyone is interested, please let me know. I paid $439 for it brand new less than 2 years ago, from Officeworks in Traralgon.
Selling it for $200.
Need it gone before Friday 6th December, before I hand the shop keys back into the real estate.

I am going to keep my Kim's Books page active after I close my shop down today.

So please keep following me, to see what comes next
This may not be the end 🥰

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in any way while I have been here for nearly 2 years.

I am going to miss the social side of having my little book shop so much. I have met so many lovely people and will miss all the regular chats.

I am thinking of setting up my online book store again, as well as having stalls at markets.

I am also hoping to start knitting and crocheting again, and create all the popular book characters, animals and baby clothes I used to enjoy selling at craft markets.

So I may see some of you again in the future - but first I need a little rest 😊
