A29 History has been made in Africa, with Colin Perso decking the first Cape Buffalo with our bullets! Often regarded as the pinnacle of world hunting, this big bull fell to a single frontal shot. We'll let Col take up the story....
"The sound of that 450 Rigby hitting him front on is something else. We got on their fresh tracks early morning and trackers followed them for 8km, bumping them twice but no chance of a shot.
Had lunch and headed back out, and then we got a shower of rain, which covered all the existing tracks.
We then drove around the block for two and a half hours looking for fresh tracks after the rain. We bumped two rhinos at 25m in the process and not long after we stopped at fresh tracks crossing the road, trackers were busy looking at the tracks and that's when I looked up and at 50m saw the same bulls we had been following all day .
The 450 spoke, and the rest is history."
