🖤 We’re incredibly proud to share that Virginia, head honcho of Fabric Cartel, has been nominated for the Community-Minded Business of the Year Award.
If you’ve ever visited Fabric Cartel, you’ll know Virginia has always believed a fabric shop can be about so much more than fabric.
It’s about creating a place where people feel welcome. Where beginners feel encouraged. Where creativity is celebrated. Where friendships are formed around a cutting table.
Over the years, Virginia has built a community that extends well beyond the shop walls. From Shop Hops and community events and local business collaborations to supporting local makers, she has always looked for ways to bring people together through a shared love of making.
One of the initiatives she’s especially proud of is Knit it Forward, a community project that saw hundreds of handmade beanies, scarves, blankets and winter warmers donated to local charities and organisations across the Sunshine Coast. With the incredible help of her sidekick, Red, who championed the distribution of donations across the Coast, the generosity of our Cartel community reached hundreds of people who needed a little extra warmth and kindness.
This nomination recognises businesses that actively give back to their community, and we truly believe it’s a reflection of the heart Virginia has poured into Fabric Cartel over the years.
If Fabric Cartel has inspired you, helped you discover a new hobby, introduced you to friends, or simply become one of your favourite places to visit, we’d be so grateful if you would take a moment to vote.
🖤 Voting is now open until July 14! Scroll down, her category is the final one on the list, and vote Fabric Cartel - Virginia Price.
