Lot 261 in our auction is a Vietnam War issue ration pack. In varying states of degradation it’s still a rare piece of history. Contains tinned steak omelette, corned beef, chocolate, toilet paper, matches and Allen’s fruit drops among other things. See it on 8 September at the Uralla Showground.

Just over two weeks to go until the auction where you’ll find plenty of unique and interesting pieces up for grabs. Lot 230 is a tussie mussie or nose gay holder from around 1875. These were used to hold a small posy of flowers and were a popular fashion accessory in Victorian times. It is said they helped to combat the “smell of the streets”.
