What are our bees up to at the moment? 🐝
Almond pollination is underway, and our bees are busy in the orchards.
But getting thousands of hives ready for pollination takes a lot of work behind the scenes. We’ve spent the past few months caring for our colonies and making sure they’re strong and healthy for the busy season ahead.
When it’s time to move them, we do it after dark, once the bees are safely tucked up inside their hives. Then it’s onto a truck and off to the almond orchards, where they’ll spend the next few weeks pollinating the blossom. 🌸
And, as with everything we do, it’s a family effort. Our beekeepers work together to keep thousands of hives happy and healthy through the season.
We spend a lot of time talking about the honey our bees produce, but pollination is a vital part of what we do.
