I’m looking at running a Wooden Desk Tidy/Shelf making Pop-Up during the school holidays in September.

I’m looking for expressions of interest at the moment.

I’ll run them with no more than four kids & would love to look in to a career/parent and kid Pop-Up too -trust me it’s fun creating with our kids 🤗 I did it recently with my 20yo 🤗

The pictures are for interest only. I haven’t put together a desk tidy/shelf yet so will add that when I do.

Pricing will include materials & tools.

If you have a preference on days &/or times don’t be shy to let me know.

I’m super excited about this. Working with our hands and our creativity & brain is like nothing else.

Last Wednesday of School Holidays for Victoria 😢 but let’s turn that frown upside down 🙃

We’re running a pop-up kids sewing class where we’ll make our very own heat pack which doubles as a cool pack which triples as a therapy aid (because of its weight).

We’ll start with some sewing basics, and safety, how the machine works, where to place our hands, how to control the sewing machines speed, how to pin, how to handle scissors etc, then have some practice before sewing and filling with Lupins & finishing a project to take home 🤗 (heat packs start at an RRP of $30).

Learning new skills and making new friends.

We’ll stop for a shake down and a little nibble of food so what to bring…

Water bottle
Something small and easy to eat
Wear something comfy and warm. Just because we’re sewing, we’re not going to be moving around a great deal.
Optional:
Sewing machine*
Sewing accessories*
Fabric*
Something familiar and safe^
*There are plenty in studio, I just know I prefer my own when I sew
^for those of us who feel safer this way

Also! Want to sew with your child/niece/nephew etc, you’re very Welcome! Adults deserve to sew too hehe

There are a limited number of spots available and please don’t forget the boys and girls like to sew alike! Everyone is Welcome 🤗

Kids Art & Craft Classes are coming back in 2024 🤗

Starting on Tuesday 16th July 2024, 4:30-5:30pm. Running over 5 weeks.

The cost of living being what it is at the moment these classes will be run as a Pay What You Feel or can without judgement.

We’ll try out a heap of different mediums & make different projects 🤗

The classes will be run at Mint Fitness Studio in Darley/Bacchus Marsh.

In a safe space where lots of laughter will also be had 🤗

These classes will be small in size so limited spots are available.

There will be a few NDIS funded spots also available for those with currently approved NDIS funding & invoicing available (set fees for invoicing).

Reach out if you’re wanting to pay full fee. (There is also a discount for Mint Fitness Studio clients kids).

One had three walls, one had four and one will have five.
One created from her mind, one free drew from an image & and traced, adding her own flair with colour.

Well that was a lot awesome!!!

I love the energy of these kids 🤗🤗🤗

Abigail wanted some art work for her walls and decided on a mermaid theme. We used a bunch of textures & mediums and would have added wool & thread but she was super keen to take the project home today.

We went with a foosball for H-bomb. He was automatically excited by this project. Knew what colours he wanted enjoyed the whole process & the bonus of taking it home to play 🤩

My 19yo son and I engineered how they box would be cut and constructed which was soooo much fun 🤩 bonus to be spending time together tbh

Kids classes through the holidays!!! I just haven’t gotten to organising them.

So my second dress with a pattern has been finished. I used the overlocker for the first time successfully which was a huge feat of mine 🤗 I was terrified of it but chose to sit with it & figure out how to thread it and bam… it was kind back to me…

Then my very first successful circular hem. Again I just sat with it, took my time and it was finished 🥰

The third one isn’t cut out any more than the pattern drawn up as I need to get some more fabric.

Taking my time and learning more and more as I go ❤️

This is a lot exciting 🤗

I’ve been a bit of a quiet supporter of boomerang bags BM for quite a bit of time & we’ve just started incorporating them in to our classes for learning to sew straight 🤗 They’re tricky but not too tricky. The kids get to take them home to either gift them on or get to imagine what they’ll use them for themselves while being a conscious member of our community 💙

We have a brand new selection in studio 🤗🤗🤗

Abigail often tells me what she wants and she knows what she wants. She loves all the arts, crafts and the exercise component too. Her joy for life and knowing what is right and wrong is & what she likes is infectious 🫶

This is a sign for her very own room. She was soo excited we decided this is what we were going to create so we used some recycled board & created it as her dream… so in her dream there is a purple moon and the clouds and birds were different colours. We used vinyl stickers to create the wording & even laminated what it sat on…

We added a little cheeky ‘diamonds to the finished project. I say cheeky as we were imaging what we’d do if we had real diamonds… make Mum some jewellery is what Abs said… What a sweetheart ###
