Sky Tracks RV Storage System We were tired of not having enough storage in our pop top campervan. We were amazed at how much bench space we uncovered. Limited opening hours.

All our horizontal surfaces, benches, seats and bed were covered with stuff. Where could we store our jackets, clothes and gadgets when we were camped and somehow free up that bench space? The answer came whilst looking up at the large unused space that was created when the roof was raised. ing that pop-top and wind-up roof camper owners have jealously accepted that they will never have. Of course there have been some ingenious solutions over the years, but now there is the innovative new SKY TRACKS Storage System that’s able to expand and evolve as your storage requirements change. The backbone of this clever new system is an extruded aluminium track that can be easily mounted to the ceiling of your van. By taking advantage of easily accessible yet previously underused areas in your van, SKY TRACKS’ range of different storage accessories can be securely attached and easily removed to personally configure this space to your liking. We have used the SKY TRACKS storage system on several extended trips to see how it all performs. Storing our clothes in the SKY TRACKS Storage Bags removed the need for a suitcase and the eye level access made finding the clothes that we wanted a breeze. Our jackets and hats also finally had a home on the hinged hooks up and out of everyone’s way. The SKY TRACKS storage system was developed primarily for pop-top and wind up roof campers, but as other RVers have seen SKY TRACKS in use, we have been surprised at some of the other applications that the SKY TRACKS storage system has been used. As an example, the owners of a full height motorhome were constantly travelling during the day and drying their towels was a becoming an issue. By fitting a pair of SKY TRACKS ceiling tracks above their bed, along with a few SKY TRACKS hinged hooks and some cord, they now have an inside drying line during the day which is easily slid out of the way at night. It has just come to our attention that Jayco have changed the ceiling construction of their campers.

Instead of a 3mm timber ply ceiling panel there is now a stippled 1mm plastic ceiling panel.
We are concerned that the 1mm plastic panel will not hold a screw.
So we recommend that the Sky Tracks aluminium profile is not installed to the ceiling. This is for Jayco campers from mid 2022 onwards.

We also do not recommend gluing the profile to the ceiling either as the connection is only as good as what it is glued to. The 1mm ceiling panel is glued to white polystyrene foam and we are concerned that this is not a strong enough bond to hold the Sky Tracks and subsequent loads.

There is also minimal timber internal blocking in the ceiling panel that we could find that was in a suitable place to take screws.

We are seeking an enthusiastic new member for our Moorabbin company producing parts for the exciting caravan industry. You will be provided with training in operating our equipment and assembling components. There are several distinct areas of the production line and you will be progressively trained across them all.
We offer flexible working hours M-F and can work around school hours and school holidays. So if you are limited in the hours available we can work in with you. Ideal for juggling parents.
Some manufacturing experience is desirable but not required.
Understanding of spoken English.
Physical fitness to work on your feet and comfortably lift up to 15kg.
A sense of urgency, attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised will be highly regarded.
