If Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce invited me to their wedding, this is what I’d gift them.

Now, a few assumptions here… I have an endless budget and somehow I’m privy to private information like where they had their first date.

And while this concept is obviously built around them, the real takeaway is how I curate gifts.

To me, great gifting is all about building a story.

That’s why I started with the beginning of their relationship and imagined commissioning a bespoke cocktail inspired by them from the venue of their first date.

Something deeply personal and thoughtful.

From there, the idea evolves.

The rare spirits make it unique and considered.
The cocktail set transforms it into an experience.
And the custom cocktail cabinet turns it into something lasting.

That’s what I love most about layered gifting.

Each element serves a purpose.

It starts with something personal.
Then becomes an experience.
And finally leaves behind something timeless.

One of my favourite parts of creating gifts is taking inspiration from experiences and finding a way to recreate them at home.

For this one, I was inspired by the thermal spas of Vichy, France, the birthplace of Vichy skincare, and the idea of gifting someone a little moment of self care.

I started with a stone tray and added some of the touches you’d expect from a bath house experience: soft towels, mineral water, a body brush and the Vichy LiftActiv Collagen Specialist 16 range.

The thing I love about this gift is that you’re not just gifting skincare. You’re gifting a quiet evening, a long shower and a reason to slow down for a moment.

One of my favourite ways to elevate a gift is by creating custom packaging.

For this one, I started with the small gift boxes from Kmart, which are $4 for a pack of four. They’re a great size for small gifts and I thought they would be the perfect base for a custom belly band.

When it comes to sizing, I keep things pretty simple. I either use a tape measure or wrap a scrap piece of paper around the gift to work out the dimensions I need. Once I know the finished size, I then figure out the paper size I can print it on. In this case, A3 worked perfectly.

From there, I create an A3 document in Canva and add an outline that’s the exact size of the sleeve. I then create my design.

After printing, I cut it to size, wrap it around the box and secure it with double-sided tape before finishing with ribbon.

It’s such a simple change, but it completely transforms the look of the gift.
