Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you are spending this time with loved ones creating beautiful memories.

It has been a big year. CYLS has moved to South Australia. To the beautiful seaside town of Moonta. After two years of no activity due to not having a studio I will be up and running in the new year. I am so excited and can’t wait to be working with leather again. Thank you for being loyal to my page and I sincerely hope you will like what comes out of my hands.

Yeay, it's almost weekend!

This week I have been busy working on some really nice items. I realised at the Rodeo I haven't been catering for the very young cowgirls. So I have been making some really cute belts for the 4+ year old cowgirls (starting from $35) of course some with pink rhinestones and the most gorgous little buckles. Pics will follow soon.

I have a big passion for Icelandic horses and my boy Thor will hopefully come home in a couple of weeks. Thor is a 6 year old chestnut dun gelding. The breed is still reasonably young to Australia (approx 190 in Oz) and traditional tack especially for this breed comes from overseas.

Seeing I do prefer Australian Made ;) I got busy making a bridle for him. Most Icelandic bridles have no throatlatch. I don't use a noseband for my horses so I didn't make one. It's what people prefer of course. Basically if you look at them they are a lot like most western bridles.

The bridle with the red rhinestones and the bridle with the natural browband and heart concho's are on the same base. It has lovely stitching and is very adjustable in size. I have made this bridle so I can change the browband and concho's to suit my saddle (western or english) or mood :)

The second briddle is a very simple training bridle. Both bridles are made from the best class leather available.

Icelandic horses are between 13 and 14 hands tall so these bridles would suit a pony. If you are interested in a custom made bridle for your horse or pony please let me know. Price will depend on style and hardware. (I do not sell bits ;))

Saddle has been sold.

Thank you to everyone who came to my stall yesterday at the Bunyip Rodeo. I was great to hear your feedback and most of all that you liked what I make.

There was a lot of interest in the saddle I had on display. For everyone who wants the details on this saddle please find below with some pics I took today.

It is a Circle Y Cottonwood saddle with a 17" black suede gel seat. This saddle has the Circle Y’s Flex2® tree and is a Draft size. Double padded seat with gel really does make it a all-day trail riding saddle. The basketweave and floral tooling with border makes it a great looking saddle. The leather colour is Regular Oil. The 3-Way in-skirt rigging lets you choose from three rigging positons to best suit your horse. This saddle come with a matching tooled back cinch worth AUD240. The saddle has only been used a couple of time as it didn't fit my husbands horse. (I had a very disappointed husband) This saddle is also very suited to a lady seeing it only weighs 13.5kg. It has always been kept in the house.

This saddle new would cost around US$1,700 which at the moment would be AUD2,400. If you would import from the US you would also have to included import duty and tax on the postage. So I guess with this saddle costing AUD1,700 you could say it's a good deal.Of course postage will be for the buyer to pay. Contact me if you are interested.
