In 1997, Jamie Thomas attempted something that's still considered absolutely nuts ! His 'Leap Of Faith' at Point Loma High School in Sand Diego is 6m or 18' in old money ollie over a stair rail is something that stands to this day as the most iconic trick that never landed. What's even crazier is that this wasn't his first attempt, all the previous attempts broke the board. This one is the closest, and the last as he physically couldn't keep going with a sprained ankle and bad bruising to his hip. Iconic ? Definitely. Insane ? 100% !

In 2007, Rick McCrank came back from a massive knee injury to put down some of the cleanest lines in éS Footwears éSpecial. His part is classic, clean, effortless lines, complete control, and that calm purpose he always has on a board. Including redemption at the stairset in Paris where he got injured filming with Girl in 2002, this part is definitely worth a watch.

Tech wizard - thats a title Daewon Song has definitely earned. This clip from Rodney V Daewon Round 2 is just a bite of the full serving of absolutely crazy tricks he lays down. The whole film is just wild. Rodney, MJ, Ronnie Creager, and JB Gillet and Daewon lay down an astonishing array of imsane technical tricks and street line. Highly recommended watching on a cold and windy Sunday afternoon.

Rick McCrank's part in Yeah Right is a masterclass in speed, power, and board control. Easily a stand-out part in a film that has an incredible line-up up of skaters. Yeah Right gets heavy rotation in the shop, Rick's part always draws me in, especially that insane ender down the janky 20 stair rail in Paris. Awesome part in a legendary film. Great Sunday afternoon watch if the weather is bad.

Andrew Brophy's breakout part was in Cliche's Clé - A Life Unplugged. The 2008 full length film had a stacked line up, and Brophy really showed his class. His crazy pop and incredible ollies catapulted him onto the world stage. Go check out the whole film, it's definitely worth the watch.

In 2011, Lucas Puig signed for Adidas, Transworld also brought out a skater profile video, and here's a taste. Lucas is definitely one of the best European tech skaters. His part in Cliche's Bon Appétit in 2004 was his breakout part, putting Lucas straight into the spotlight. Fully Flared put him on the global stage, and he's stayed there ever since. Go check out this wonderfully shot profile, it's an absolutely brilliant short skate film.

The Gonz's part in Krooked's Kronichles sums up the Gonz perfectly. He makes skating look fun. His lines are creative, don't make every trick perfectly, has his distinct style, and most of all, he looks like he's absolutely loving life skating. This is what makes him one of the most iconic skaters ever.
