LONG POST ALERT 😊
Every year come May/June at the end of the financial year,I reflect on how the business has gone and what direction to move in for the year ahead
2024's reflection has led me to a big decision. That decision is that Yum Hugs will cease trading 30th June 2024
There are a number of factors in this decision. Increased meal prep work with I Hate Cooking, reduced orders as discretionary spending levels drop and increased ingredient cost causing a squeeze on profit margins. Delivery complications are too difficult on a small scale and our website is restrictive for seamless ordering
All existing quotes will be honoured
I have absolutely LOVED creating and running this business. I have connected with so many lovely people along the way. The support I have been given has been nothing short of amazing and I am truly, truly grateful for that
NOT ALL BAD NEWS
I will be creating a new website for Michelle Boyd Real Food Cook!
The new branding will be focused on healthy, seasonal, fresh flavoured food in general. Real Food Dinners will be expanded and new themes are coming very soon. Dinner schedule is as follows for you to save the date:
Thu July 4th - Freezer Finds Edition. Dishes that you can Grab N Go with individual portioning in your freezer
Thu August 1 - Curry Night Edition. As we sink into the depths of winter there is nothing that warms the cockles of your heart like a homemade curry without the use of preservatives and additives from a packet or a jar
Thu September 5 - Gut Health Edition. Simple ways to increase your good gut bacteria to enhance your fibre consumption. It's all about the BBG'S - beans, berries, greens, seeds (and nuts)
There will be events, blog posts, local business collaborations, original recipes and much more. Pop up shop days so that you can still purchase all the Yum Hugs faves like our signature Triple Choc Brownies. All with a view to highlighting cooking with real ingredients and avoiding Ultra Processed Food as much as possible
I will be posting updates along the way as the transition occurs. For now I would love it if you could follow Michelle Boyd Real Food Cook on Facebook and Instagram for all the updates and watch what happens next
There will be a celebratory High Tea Open House as a farewell to Yum Hugs Sunday 14th July 2:30pm - 4:30pm which you are all invited to
