π Big News: Merriwa Shared Pathway Fundraising Update! π
We're beyond thrilled to announce that we've now raised $ππ,πππ.ππ! We're just $ππ,πππ.ππ away from hitting our $60,000 goal! This amazing support will help us cover ALL the residential co-contributions imposed by the Upper Hunter Shire Council. Right now, we can only cover a partial payment for affected residents, many of whom are pensioners. Our aim is to provide the full amount to lift their burden completely.
We know times are tough with the current cost of living, but every little bit helps and makes a huge difference for those being charged. If your unable to contribute at the present time, please help us by sharing our posts and getting the word out.
A massive shoutout to everyone who has donated, contributed cans and bottles to the Men's Shed for the 10c recycling, bought raffle tickets, dropped spare change in our donation tins, and shared our posts. Your support has been absolutely incredible and is bringing us closer to our goal every day.
The Merriwa Men's Shed is still collecting 10c recyclables, so keep those coming in! We encourage all residents to donate their 10c recyclables to the Men's Shedβevery bottle and can helps us get closer to our goal.
This pathway will connect key locations in our community, including the CBD, sports facilities, aged care hostel, and schools, enhancing safety and accessibility for all residents and visitors.
You can still make donations through our GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/4a789411 or directly to the Merriwa and District Chamber of Commerce:
- **Bank:** Regional Australia Bank
- **BSB:** 932 000
- **Account:** 100 498 003
- **Account Name:** Merriwa and District Chamber of Commerce
Together, we can bridge the remaining $14,636.12 gap and make Merriwa an even better place to live and visit. Thank you all for your incredible supportβlet's keep the momentum going!
