But as we welcome this fresh chapter, let’s take a moment to reflect on how our actions impact the world around us. From the devastating conflicts in places like Gaza, where innocent lives and even hospitals are tragically lost, to the quiet suffering caused by seemingly harmless celebrations like fireworks.
Did you know that fireworks can reach up to 150 decibels? That’s enough to severely harm or even kill vulnerable animals. Guide dogs, guard dogs, kangaroos, wallabies, birds, rabbits, and countless others experience intense fear and disorientation during these events. Sadly, the aftermath of New Year’s Eve often leaves behind injured or dead wildlife—a sobering reminder of our shared responsibility as humans.
As we step into 2025, let’s commit to being more mindful of our actions. The Earth is not ours alone; it is home to countless species that deserve safety and respect. Together, we can find ways to celebrate that are inclusive and compassionate for all beings. 🐾🌏
