The Surfboard Studio The Surfboard Studio offers world-class instruction and tuition in surfboard shaping, design, glassing and sanding.

Our courses and specialty classes focus on the art of surfboard shaping and how surfboard designs work in all sorts of waves. Participants learn the skill sets and knowledge of handcrafted design as well CAD / CNC machining. The Surfboard Studio is proud to employ instructors that have contributed greatly to the Australian surfboard industry, with knowledge that stretches back to the inception of

Australia's surfboard shaping. Our courses and specialty classes are primarily based in Preston, Victoria and affiliated with a stalwart of Melbourne surf culture, Zak Surfboards / Melbourne Surfboard Shop. As of July 2021, we are also now offering ancillary speciality courses in Torquay with more locations to come.

We are still running our Make Your Surfboard Courses for 2024. We have made a few changes at the factory to handle the high turnover of surfboard repairs and have shut down the group course of 4. We are running groups of 2 and private courses from now on. For all inquiries please email [email protected].
