St Peter's Bookroom We are a ministry within St Peter’s Eastern Hill, Melbourne; a place of social outreach, book selling and welcome for the public.

The Bookroom is a tranquil setting within the busy city of Melbourne. The Bookroom provides high quality religious books, gifts cards and sanctuary supplies for clergy and the general public. St Peter's Church Eastern Hill is the Anglican parish church of the city of Melbourne. Governor Charles La Trobe laid the foundation stone in 1846. Two ministries that St Peter's has continued to nurture sinc

e the 19th century, have been social outreach and learning: this included opening a school in 1898. The Bookroom had its inception as a small lending library in the 1930s and grew into a shop whose space is currently a wee kitchen in the Sacristan's flat in Keble House. Since 1998 the Bookroom has occupied a much larger space adjoining the parish hall and facing St Patrick's Cathedral, on Gisborne Street.
