The Bluyonda Story

Born in Ferntree Gully, Australian identical twins Dallas and John Heaton are thoroughly experienced travel photographers. Their first assignment was photographing China for Thai Airlines in 1982. China was starting it’s “open door policy” and they were amongst the first free traveling foreign photographers. Over 35 years they have created beautiful travel-themed images - their work appearing in diverse platforms such as National Geographic publications, postage stamps and outer shells of Hong Kong trams.

The new collection of silk scarves showcases the highlights of a lifetimes worth of photography, printed on 100% pure silk. These images are re-defined through artistic work, giving each of the scarves an exquisitely unique look.

“The Artwork for our silk scarf collection is an examination of our photography in a fresh way. Using a full play of techniques, our challenge is to create a captivating image, often from the beauty in nature’s details, that also looks exquisite as a scarf.”
