Showcasing the next guitar in the triplets we made for Melbourne artist - Toby Travis Music. This mid-sized Jumbo features beautiful Black and White (or aka Pale Moon) Ebony chosen from our collection at The Woodbank Melbourne. Toby chose to pair the stunning back and sides with pale Adirondack Spruce for the soundboard, black African ebony for the fingerboard and solid mother of pearl blocks as inlays. We also enhanced the beauty of this guitar again with an ornate abalone shell rosette and and purfling. To top it all off we used gold Gotoh 510 machine heads and added bespoke bone tuning buttons. Eye catching, elegant not not to be underestimated in tone, clarity and sustain - the hallmark of a Ruben Guitar.

A look at the first of three sisters - all equally beautiful in their own unique way...

'Storytellers' is the first guitar we are delighted to show you from our triplet of builds for Melbourne singer/songwriter Toby Travis. This traditional cutaway dreadnought with our signature 'Whisky Barrel' finish is comprised of Old Growth Honduran Mahogany x Adirondack Spruce. There are a few tasteful bespoke details like the Gold Mother Of Pearl 'Storytellers' inlay, the ornate Gotoh 510 tuners and those smaller finer details that brig the whole guitar together.

With autumn nearly over, it's high time we share our latest seasonally themed hand rubbed stain creation - Liquid Amber Burst.

We love having our clients with us in the paint studio to witness their bespoke colours come to life on their builds. This is the second time has engaged us for a guitar bespoke journey and we all cannot wait to see the results under a shiny gloss finish.

Summer is over - and that means it's probably time for a guitar service. Changes in humidity, temperature and all of those summer gigs can affect your guitar's playability and intonation.
