Keep your tree in full spirits over Christmas with these very handy survival tips!

💦 Keep it hydrated
Real trees get real thirsty — top up the stand with fresh water every day to keep it looking fresh.

☀️ Keep it cool
Avoid direct sunlight, heaters and air-cons — no-one wants a zapped tree on Christmas day!

🪚 Fresh cut = fresh tree
Sap build-up can limit water absorption, so a fresh cut at the stump helps your tree soak up all the hydration it needs. All our trees are freshly cut at delivery or pickup — but a trim can help if needed!

After reading every single entry… our judges have crowned the most original (and brilliantly relatable) winner!

Congrats to Cara S— may your TimTam stash never run dry, your Monopoly championship stay civil, and your Airtasker hero conquer those lights. The Myki system… well, that one might need a few more zeroes.

And because some entries melted our little elf hearts, we’re sending out a few extra real Christmas trees to Annette R & Derek F, to spread that community cheer even further.
