Pretty surreal moment this month, the August edition of British Railway Modelling (BRM) magazine arrived with my first ever article.

I was contacted by the editor of BRM, firstly through my friend/mentor Tony Wright, nearly year ago and was asked if I could send some photos through of my work. Having liked my modelling work and taking a great interest in my alterations of LNER Fish vans I was asked to write an article on them. After sending through the article I was asked to write a second article to follow in September about how I weather my rolling stock.

I remember saying to myself as a kid, a teenager and in my early 20’s; ”I would love to write an article one day for a magazine” and I’ve done not one but two!

I am so proud of myself, how my model making has come on in leaps and bounds and I feel privileged to be able to show my modelling to the world.

What’s next? A book? 🤔

Some Australian rolling stock on the layout today. I’ve been working on some B*H coal wagons and various other wagons for a customer, slow work with the amount I have to do, but getting there.
