We took a short break from sewing to make these handknitted fingerless gloves for a client.

When you are separated from your sewing machine for 3 weeks you have to fill your spare time with something.

So chief cook and bottle washer Glynis has been creating a lot of fabric scraps by cutting out kids aprons and colour-me-in library bags and a few adult aprons. ✂️

'Oh no we hope those scraps are not going into landfill,' we hear you say.

Definitely not! We can honestly answer. They will be heading along with another shopping bag full to .community.space in Eaglemont as soon as we are back in Melbourne.

While we do try to use as much of our fabric pieces as we can with items such as our jar openers and wet bags, sometimes our scraps are just too small. Thank goodness we found The Fabric ReStore❤️
