What a wonderful evening we shared last night with the brilliant Amie Kaufman as we celebrated the launch of her delightful new novel, One Knight Stand, the much-anticipated sequel to Lady's Knight.
In conversation with the equally fabulous Lilli Wilkinson, Amie treated us to an evening filled with laughter, honesty, and fascinating insights into everything that made One Knight Stand, well... One Knight Stand!
Amie shared hilarious behind-the-scenes stories (think dad-jokes to the max) and background insights into characters and plot twists... and we wished it could have gone on for a lot longer!
A huge thank you to Amie and Lilli for such a generous and engaging evening, and to everyone of you who joined us.
We loved celebrating One Knight Stand with you all and can't wait to see where Amie's adventures take us next.
Signed copies are available in-store while stocks last!

Finally! This stunning new release we've all been waiting for has just landed in store!
From the bestselling author of Hamnet comes Land by Maggie O'Farrell — a beautifully written, immersive novel from one of our most favourite storytellers of our time.
So rich with atmosphere and emotion - and Maggie's signature insight into the complexities of human lives - this is a spellbinding story of separation, longing, recovery and survival as a family makes a new home in the aftermath of tragedy.
Land is one of those books - it invites you to slow down, sink in, and savour every page.
We love both the gorgeous cover and captivating story... it's already proving impossible to walk past!
One of the most anticipated literary releases of the year, we know you'll love it.

Trustvus, It's a very good weekend to cancel your plans, put the kettle on, and disappear into a stack of crime fiction.
May has brought us brilliant new releases from some of the biggest names in the genre — full of clever twists, gripping investigations, psychological suspense, or stories that keep us reading far too late into the night.
Here's some of our favourites:
• Louise Penny — The Last Mandarin
• Dervla McTiernan — Three Reasons for Revenge
• Michael Connelly — Ironwood
• Anthony Horowitz — A Deadly Episode
• Mali Cornish — The Missing Mother
• Amanda Hampson — The Model Murder
• Rebecca Lim — The Graduate
• Louise Milligan — Shellybanks
• Nicholas Shakespeare — Frame 37
• Jess Kitching — The Secrets of Strangers
• Gillian McAllister — Caller Unknown
There's atmospheric mysteries, page-turning thrillers, something for every crime reader — and we can already tell you more than one is likely to end up on your to-be-read pile!
Perfect reading weekend awaits!

Reintroducing this highly recommended read for those who have always wondered about the quieter Bennet sister…
The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow gives Mary Bennet the story she never received in Pride and Prejudice — thoughtful, yearning, awkward, intelligent Mary, finally stepping out from the shadows of her sisters.
Rich with Regency atmosphere, sharp observation and slow-burn character growth, this is the inspiration for the recent sreaming hit (TV tie-in edition pictured).
If you haven't caught the book yet, we think you’ll find it the perfect Jane Austen adaptation!

Bridge of Storms has arrived in store, and we think it’s every bit as breathtaking as the cover promises.
From master storyteller Philip Reeve — beloved for the Mortal Engines world — comes a thrilling new tale packed with peril, mystery, ferocious predator suburbs, and heart-racing adventure.
This is brilliant for readers who love epic journeys, courageous heroines, and immersive worlds that feel cinematic from the very first page.
Honestly though... the Mortal Engines world speaks for itself.
