Working with glitter can be messy at the best of times!
But even moreso when you've got an essential tremor 😳 which is sometimes exacerbated by tasks requiring such fine motor skills.

Starting with a metallic silver card:
The paper flowers are not my work ... I can only claim the arrangement 😜

'thanks' was a raw wood embellishment, now with 3 coats of white acrylic paint.

Hey there,

Now that I've given it to the friend that I made this one for, I can share it with you. 👏

To me it screams: FREEDOM !
It's one of my faves!

The card is actually a deep teal blue colour.
The cage embellishment is made of wood and painted with 3 coats of metallic copper before being glued to the card.

And then the free bird in a natural cardboard, with a mesh wing secured with thick double sided tape to lift it off the card a little.

Here's a sample of a 'Thank you' card I made for a friend recently.

Both the flower embellishment and the word 'thankyou' start as a natural wood colour.
Each piece gets 3 coats of acrylic paint (in and around all those nooks & crannies) to give it a full covering of colour, before it gets secured to the card with a woodcraft glue.
Then to complete the card, a matching colour envelope, both of which are packed into a clear cellophane sleeve for their protection.

Get your cards here for $10 each.

That's a $2 saving on each card.

Here's one I made for a customer to give to a mutual friend moving interstate as they take on a new life adventure . . .

'encourage your hopes not your fears' seemed like the perfect words to send them off with.

While their flight is obviously not via hot air balloon, it is an adventure of new heights . . .

Meanwhile, this was a Christmas wrap idea that just kept growing . . .

What started off as just a natural wood colour Christmas tree to be painted green, then felt the need to be decorated. But what could I do?
What did I have?
Then I remembered . . . a bag of things by the door still waiting to go to the op shop after a covid lockdown cull a few months ago.

You see, back in about 2008 I had a little jewellery making business called 'Bent on Jewellery' (not only was it my bent😜, but at the time I also lived on Bent St😆)

Anyway, it was in the Covid cull that I found that small box of silver beads (that I never actually used) and no idea why I still had them.

But then . . . earlier this week they came in to their own, as I retrieved them from that op shop bag!
Not for beads on a piece of jewellery, but as silver baubles on a Christmas tree!

Then backed with a piece of sparkly silver ribbon & Voila! another Christmas gift wrapped like a treat!

I've got 4 of my handmade Christmas cards on a shop counter out in retail.
Yesterday a customer bought 2, and wanted the 'designer' to know how much she liked them: "Awesome!" & "Cute!"
So that warranted an order for 4 more!
