LAST DAY OF OPERATION PEOPLE!
- We have been in the vinyl retail game for just under 13 years and in Anderson Street for 6 years!
It’s gone so quickly and been packed with great times; we’ve met a lot of friends who will be so for a lifetime, no doubt.
We are proud of what we’ve delivered; literally delivered! The now-famous - two in fact we burned the first one out - has a digital read out and that tells us we cleaned 13.000 second-hand records! Bearing in mind we didn’t get that until year 2 we must have shifted 15,000 second-hand records in the duration - some were picked up locally and given a new life but the majority were imported from Europe and Japan.
As far as NEW records are concerned probably about the same - that’s 30,000 records in and around Yarraville that weren’t there in 2020 - a reasonable cultural contribution!
We set up to bring community, good times and an unpretentious social space with strong musical knowledge which we always wanted to pass on - we would say we achieved our goals.
Come down today for a final catch-up!
