It has been a really busy start to term 1! Beginning of term 1 is always hectic as the children are learning the routines in kinder. They’re all really settled though which I’m amazed at - I expected more tears! Pictured here is our Australian animals corner. The children are learning facts about the animals and the plan is to introduce the names of the animals in the Boon Wurrung language next.

How did your child do on their first week of school? Hope they’re having lots of fun!

I’ll admit it, I have a love hate relationship with slime. Love the texture and the stretchiness of it, not so much the stickiness.

This is why when I started making slime, I tried finding a recipe that make the play experience enjoyable. And voila, what I have is a stretchy, non-sticky slime!

Pictured is the unicorn slime, which has a nice glittery purple colour. It comes in a 250g bottle, and unicorn and glitter add-ons. I also include a non-stick spray so slime doesn’t stick to your hands when you’re playing! DM us or visit our Etsy site to order. :)

Spring is almost over but that does not mean we cannot recreate it. This is one of my favourite kits at the moment! Love the intricate design of the stampers.

Today’s play! We made psyllium husk slime and paired it with natural materials. This is a great alternative to normal slime - it’s edible and non-toxic so it’s safe even for mouthing babies and toddlers.

It is super easy to make too! Just combine 3 tablespoons psyllium husk powder with 2 cups water, and whatever colouring you desire. Pop it into the microwave for 5 minutes (checking and stirring every minute or so) and you’re done! You can make it on the stove too if you want.

We updated our sealife water beads kit! It’s basically the same kit as the last one but with different sea animals. Waterbeads is honestly such a favourite with my kinder kids! They stay engaged for a looonngg time whenever we set it up.
