It's one which the NFL defends vigorously - Legally speaking, defending a mark is an important aspect of being a trademark owner in case it ever becomes "diluted" in its distinctiveness, leading to the potential forfeiture of remedies!

On this day (7 Dec) in 1972, NASA's Apollo 17 mission was launched. That mission snapped the iconic "The Blue Marble" photo of Earth and collected "Goodwill" moon rocks, which were gifted by President Nixon to 135 other nations and all 50 US states. Did you know that as property of the state, those rocks are now subject to the laws for public gifts? This means they can't be transferred to individual owners unless legislation is passed permitting such.
