One thing I've learnt over the years, is the importance is creating SMART goals to set yourself up for success.
How do you set SMART goals?
S. SPECIFIC - Set a specific goal. Flush out your who, what, when, where, which and why!
M. MEASURABLE - Think about how you can measure a way to determine if you've met your goal. This could include milestones.
A. ACHIEVABLE - Your goal should be attainable or achievable. If it isn't immediately achievable, think about what you could do to set yourself up to achieve this (develop new skills, change an attitude) and reframe your goal to these intermediate steps you have just identified!
R. RELEVANT - Keep your goals relevant to what is important to you. We can't achieve everything in one year and will have to prioritise.
T. TIME BOUND - Identify a timeline as to when you'd like to achieve your goal.
Have you set a SMART goal in the past? What did that do in your life?
