Please join us for an important community event, to hear directly from Nadene Dodd, mother of Cleveland Dodd, alongside with Noongar lawyer and advocate Roxy Moore.

Mother’s Day had me reflecting a lot on what it means to be a mother pushing for justice against cruel systems. 16yo Cleveland Dodd’s death in youth detention was an avoidable tragedy. The work to prevent more people from dying, more mothers from having to bury their children, belongs to all of us.

The event is centred around Gerry Georgatos’ book, Cleveland Dodd: Child of the Desert Sunrise. Gerry will be there and the book is available for purchase now from Rabble and at the event, with proceeds going to a fund for Cleveland Dodd’s siblings.

4pm Saturday 30th May
At Rabble Books

$20 or free, choose the option that suits your circumstances. Ticket sales will cover event costs with any extra funds going to the family.

We're open tomorrow! (Saturday)
Usually we close on public holidays to make sure that everyone at least tries to get some downtime, but we know so many people are trying to complete the .bookcrawl.australia .
So, Sam and Nat will hold down the fort while the rest of the team take a well deserved day off. Come get your passport stamped and don't be shy about collecting your penguin cards, Global Book Crawl totes, and Andy Griffith books because we still have some stock to hand out.
And don't forget to submit your completed passport to go in the running for $800 in book vouchers!

From today until Sunday, Rabble is participating in the .bookcrawl.australia ! Grab one of these passports from the counter and visit all 16 participating bookshops in the Perth area to go in the running for $800 in local bookshop vouchers.
There's a bunch of other giveaways too: spend $100 or more in any shop and get a cool Global Bookcrawl tote, buy any Penguin book and get some cute Penguin Persona Cards, and families who have their 5th stamp can claim a copy of Andy Griffiths’ Land of Lost Things. (These are all "while stocks last", but we'll try to point you in the right direction if we run out!) Looking forward to a fun week!

Do you know how many baked goods it takes to raise $3055??? (Us neither, we did not count the snacks but we counted the dollars!!)

Nearly 50% more raised than last year! The money will be split between and Taking B(l)ack the Rainbow - we know some of you made additional donations independently too!

I just want to celebrate how amazing it is to be surrounded by a community of doers, and to give special mention to the wonderful team at Rabble who will enthusiastically handle whatever chaos we throw at them. They are the most wholesome bunch and we love them. Gabe is the brain behind this event, and we are so lucky to have them here!

A big thank you to everyone who came down and ATE, all the lovely people who BAKED SUCH TASTY SNACKS, the folks who lent us a deck and for speakers and .au for donating their time to run an art table, .forever for the excellent tunes, and to Jamie, Mackenze, Bri, Tim and Leah who helped out with many things. And to for making the cutest colouring in for the occasion! You all showed up ❤️

See you next Saturday for our (delayed) Trans Day of Having a Little Snack!! This is one of our favourite events of the year, lovingly organised by the excellent Gabe.

We still need more snacks (always, we are so hungry)! Now there is a whole public holiday Friday for baking the day before! Please fill out the form in the comments.

We have had a lovely offer of some supermarket gift cards if anyone wants to bake but doesn’t have $$ for ingredients - send us a message if you would like one.

We’ll have baked goods for sale out the front, and DJs and seating out the back so come hang with us. We’ll announce the DJs this week ❤️

If anyone wants to help out on the bake sale stall too, please let us know. Big thanks to everyone who is pitching in to make it a success.

POSTPONED BY A WEEK! Please update your calendars to Saturday 4th April due to big storm forecast! 🌧️🌧️🌧️

It's our 3rd year of running Trans Day of Having a Little Snack and we're making it bigger to accommodate you hungry hungry trans fans.

Last year you helped us make over 2k for Transfolk WA and Olive Kids and we sold out of treats in 3 hours!

This year we're opening up the garden for you to enjoy your snacks with your fellow snaccs, read your tasty new books, and listen to some deliciously q***r tunes baked up by your favorite trans and NB Perth DJs.

If you're keen on donating a treat this year, head to the link in our bio to find out how! We always appreciate more treats catering to diverse diets.

We're donating to Transfolk WA () as usual and this year, to Taking B(l)ack the Rainbow. They are a q***r Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander run networking group under the banner of Rainbow Futures ().

As always, credit to Gender Reveal podcast () for the concept. Based in America, their podcast talks about all things trans and on Trans Day of Visibility, they use their funds to send snack money to their listeners and occasionally give larger amounts for mutual aid purposes. And thus Trans Day of Snack was made! Give them a listen!

We'll see you on 28th March Saturday 10am!
