Not all water flow behaves the same way.

Aerated flow introduces air into the water stream, creating a softer, fuller flow. However, the introduction of air at the outlet may also provide an opportunity for airborne contaminants to enter the water stream.

Laminar flow takes a different approach.

By delivering water as a smooth, controlled stream without air entrainment, laminar flow helps minimise the potential for airborne contaminants to become incorporated into the water stream.

For healthcare environments, even the way water is delivered can be an important consideration.

That’s a wrap on IPCNC 2026.

Thank you to everyone who visited the GENTEC and Waterware stand in Wellington and took the time to connect with us throughout the conference.

We received an overwhelming response and appreciated the many meaningful conversations with infection prevention professionals, healthcare specialists and industry colleagues from across the region.
