Writers' Rumble is a good old fashioned writing group, hosted by Sid Walls, Katy B Plummer and Andy Franks, on the third Thurdsay of every month. Prose, poetry & plays. Bring 6-8 copies of something you're working on, and the group will kindly-yet-thoroughly polish your baby till it shines like the moon.

The Six Gallery reading (also known as the Gallery Six reading or Six Angels in the Same Performance) was a poetry-reading which occurred at the Six Gallery on Friday, October 7, 1955, at 3119 Fillmore Street in San Francisco. It was the night that Allen Ginsburg unleashed 'HOWL' on an unsuspecting world. Desire Books celebrates the anniversary of the poetry event that shook the world with a night of Jazz, Poetry and all kinds of Beatnik madness.
