More cotton elastane french terry has arrived, and this time I've added a few fresh colours to the solid colour collection.

The Sherbet colours have been so popular in jersey and ribbing that I wanted to give you a cooler weather option too.

Now available:

• Blush Pink

• Petunia Purple
• Sky Blue

240gsm, OEKO TEX 100 certified and made in Europe.

I have a feeling these are going to sew up beautifully into sweaters, lounge sets and everyday pieces you'll love wearing 🩷

A restock update from the cutting table.

A mix of popular jerseys, fleecy and french terry have made their way back onto the shelves including black denim look cotton elastane jersey.

Denim Look Cotton Elastane Jersey - Black

Cotton Elastane Jersey - Red, Royal Purple, White

Cotton Elastane Fleecy - Cream, Fern Green, Medium Grey Melange

Cotton Elastane French Terry - Light Brown Melange

The shelves are finally starting to look healthier again after a busy few months of restocking.

Fleecy has been especially popular lately and I can't say I'm surprised. With all the rain and cooler weather we've been having, it has become my go to fabric for comfortable everyday layers.

If you've never tried it before, wide leg sweatpants are a great place to start 💛

I mentioned yesterday that double gauze is one of those wonderful fabrics that can work across all seasons when you build it into your wardrobe thoughtfully.

This dress is a perfect example. During spring and summer, it can be worn exactly as it is. When the cooler months roll around, simply add a cardigan, jacket, or cosy layer sewn from cotton elastane fleecy or french terry and you have a garment that continues to work in your wardrobe.

That versatility is one of the reasons I love double gauze so much. It lends itself beautifully to relaxed woven patterns with simple construction and easy wearing silhouettes. The fabric does most of the work, which often means quicker sewing and more finished garments to enjoy.

And can we talk about Cream? I love this timeless colour. Fresh, soft, easy to style, and a beautiful foundation for a handmade wardrobe.

The good news is that Cream Double Gauze is back in stock. The not so good news? It tends to be one of the first colours to disappear whenever it returns.

If you've been waiting for it, now might be the time 🤍

A small restock of 100% cotton double gauze has arrived.

Back on the shelves:

• Cream
• Cornflower blue
• Garnet red

I especially love double gauze through autumn and winter as a layering fabric. Soft, breathable and comfortable to wear while still holding warmth when layered with thermals, knits and jackets.

Perfect for relaxed dresses, tunics and loungewear pieces that work across seasons 💛

Happy Monday! Just me harping on about Linen Viscose again.

There are so many beautiful everyday garments that can be created with Linen Viscose.

What I love most about this fabric base is how versatile it is across seasons. While many people naturally reach for it during warmer weather because of its lightness and soft drape, it also works wonderfully through autumn and winter when layered intentionally with other pieces.

Very much like double gauze, Linen Viscose becomes one of those fabrics that can live in your wardrobe year round rather than being limited to one season. Layer it with cardigans, jackets, long sleeves or knitwear during cooler months, then wear it on its own again when the weather warms up.

I think there’s something special about sewing garments that can move with you throughout the year instead of sitting unworn for months at a time. It feels more intentional, more practical, and makes handmade wardrobes work harder for us.

Tip! It is best to line linen viscose with a liner fabric but you don't have to pending pattern and look you are trying to achieve😉

I honestly can’t believe how popular Cocoa Brown fleecy has been.

Every time I cut it, more orders come through for it, so this is your little reminder that if earthy neutrals are your thing, you may want to pop some into your cart sooner rather than later. Once this round sells through, the current ETA for restock is around 4 weeks.

A few years ago I probably would have said brown tones weren’t really my style, but somewhere along the way the earthy neutrals quietly made themselves at home in my wardrobe. Looking at the colour palette at Wicked Fabrics these days, you can probably tell 😂

I understand the appeal now. Cocoa Brown feels warm, grounding, timeless and easy to wear. It pairs beautifully with other neutrals, works across all ages, and on a fleecy base it makes such good cooler weather staples.

Definitely one of those colours that has grown on me in the best way!
