Sydney Is Choking on Cars — Why Electric Bikes Are the Smart Future of Transport

Every day, more than 80,000 cars enter Sydney’s CBD through Parramatta Road — most carrying just one person.

This creates traffic congestion, higher living costs, pollution, lost housing space, and rising infrastructure pressure across Australia.

In this video, we show why electric bikes are the smartest solution for urban transport:

🚲 Faster than cars for short trips
💰 Almost zero running cost
🌱 Lowest energy consumption and pollution
🏙️ Frees cities from traffic and parking overload
❤️ Improves health and fitness

Most Australians commute under 10 km — the perfect distance for electric bikes.

This is not the future. It’s the solution available right now.

Cyberbikes has stepped up this season as a proud sponsor of FTC Team 19218 We Love STEM, a robotics team organised by AARAS Education, the Australian Academy of Robotics and STEM.

Our support helped the team push deeper into engineering, testing, and competition, and it gave students the chance to work with parts and tools that would have been out of reach otherwise.

The team entered the season with a bold design and a strong mechanical base. Even with promising early work, they faced challenges that shaped their performance and taught them a lot about what it takes to run a competitive robotics program.

One team member shared an honest look at the experience:

"Our robot had a strong mechanical foundation, but we ran into a few issues that held us back, which were mainly late part approvals. We also had limited testing time, and some software gaps that we were not able to fix before regionals."

"It was disappointing, but it highlighted exactly where our management and workflow need improvement. The idea is to bring in better project management and keep the workflow smooth."

"Thank you again for your support this season. Even though we did not reach nationals, everything we built and learned is going straight into making next season stronger, more structured, and more competitive."

Comments like these show the real value of programs like AARAS Education. Robotics is not only about building machines. It is about learning how to collaborate, organise work, manage deadlines, solve real problems, and stay grounded when things do not go as planned.

Cyberbikes’ support helped the team gain that experience. It gave students a season filled with lessons they can now use to build a smoother, faster, and more capable team culture.

We Love STEM is moving toward a more focused and efficient approach, and sponsors like Cyberbikes play a key role in that growth. The team is grateful for the backing and excited to show what they can achieve in the next season.

🏅 5 Nobel Prize Discoveries that Paved the Way for Modern E-Bikes.
Every e-bike ride is powered by over a century of brilliant science. Here’s the timeline of key Nobel Prize–winning inventions that made today’s e-bikes fast, light, safe, and smart:
1. Electromagnetism – Physics, 1902 – the foundation of electric motors.
2. Semiconductors & Transistors – Physics, 1956 – made it possible to build compact controllers and sensors that manage your e-bike’s power, speed and pedal assist modes.
3. Atomic Clock Technology – Physics, 1989 – ultra-precise timing that powers GPS navigation and tracking.
4. Blue LEDs – Physics, 2014 – bright, energy-saving lights that keep you visible and safe.
5. Lithium-Ion Batteries – Chemistry, 2019 – they store the “fuel” your motor eats to keep going, just like energy bars for a strong cyclist.
From electromagnetism in the 19th century to smart GPS and LEDs today, modern e-bikes are built on layers of Nobel Prize–winning science.

Thank you, scientists – the Cyberbikes team admires you!

From e-bike to carry-on luggage in seconds

The Cyberbikes VESTA 3.0 folds small, rides strong, and makes city life simple.
In this video, Felipe shows how the VESTA folds down into something the size of a small suitcase: light enough to carry upstairs, neat enough to slide under your desk, or stash in the car trunk like a sport bag.

Smart choice for:
✅ Apartments and offices – store it like a vacuum cleaner or fold-up chair
✅ Car and camping trips – takes no more space than a cooler box
✅ Train, bus and ferry commutes – carry it on like luggage

💰 Ride it home today: $2,000 outright or $60/week rent-to-own.
