Thank you for your lovely messages and support. We are reading them as we’re able, and it’s wonderful to see how much you all loved our girl. We’re grateful for the love, and appreciate you giving us time and space to grieve and remember our beautiful Echo.

Our darling Echo died on the 21st of July, 2026, at 17 years old.

Understandably, we are devastated. We would appreciate it if you could give us time and space as we process our grief and remember our girl.

Echo was a beloved member of the community, whose gentle and cheeky nature made our bookshop an even more welcoming and special place. 

A hardcore foodie, Echo was a lover of carrots, swimming in rivers, and long drives in the car with the window down. 

We’ll be finding her hair/fibres of love for years to come. Rest in peace, our beautiful girl.

Please note that the bookshop will be closed tomorrow, 22nd of July. Talking with each of our caring customers on a daily basis about her will be hard, but we know you cared for her too.
