Photos from the off-grid system we installed the other week out near Mt Barney ⛰️ Team Beast rolled in with 32kWh Sigenergy battery storage, 10.4kW Canadian Solar array, and a backup generator for this remote shed. Not bad views for a workday, hey!

Another year, another footy tipping season wrapped up, and this year the crown was taken by Dane! It was a close competition, but Dane finished the season with a stellar 144-point total 💪 Congratulations Dane!

Milestone moment: someone call the fire department, because we're celebrating with flamethrowers 🤣 (Not really). has recently expanded to 100+ staff 🤯 What started in 2002 as a family business of three has become so much bigger than we could have possibly imagined. That being said, we've worked so hard to get this point, and we're proud to have electricians, roofers, engineers, project managers, retail and sales, warehouse, marketing, and administration all under the same roof (across three locations 🤭).

Throwback Thursday to the time we were so off-grid that we needed a helicopter to deliver the solar panels 🚁 We installed a standalone power system at Mount Tinbeerwah in the Noosa Hinterland in 2022. Even today, we get the occasional helicopter off-side when we're working remote 👨‍🌾

Seeing a small grid import charge even when your battery shows 100%? This is common and doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong.

Grid-connected systems can briefly draw from the grid while the inverter responds to sudden appliance demand 📺 Monitoring apps may also smooth out these short spikes, and some circuits - such as controlled-load hot water - may sit outside your battery system.

A small amount of grid import can be normal, but consistently importing 2kWh or more per day is worth investigating.
