Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service

We were thrilled to recently receive an order for 6 Pouches from Wildcare Sprats to be used in the South West of Tassie on a volunteer project protecting shorebird habitats in the World Heritage Area by eradicating the coastal weeds, sea spurge and marram grass. Teams usually head in for around 2-3 weeks at a time, and make food dumps which get interfered with by local creatures. Loss of food in remote wilderness areas such as this, can turn into a major problem and our Possum Pouches will now be used to ensure their volunteers get all their food. This was a cute little quoll checking out the Possum Pouch at the WOJ last December. I had put the Pouch away from the tent platform to see what came near it without scaring them. This one came within the first 5 minutes. The phone shadows are annoying, so apologies about those.

An overnighter to Cradle Mountain to explore the Lake Rodway circuit to see the Fagus doing it's thing. Of course, as always, our Possum Pouch also made the trip, this time in a brand new Pouch house! Playing around with some different designs before making this one available for purchase.
