Only six more sleeps until I immerse deep into the ancient growth that is Takayna. Made this wool hat from scraps to keep my head warm while I soak in the tranquility and look for fungi. Excited much.

I’m deeply thankful to be accepted to join the Art 4 Takayna Artist Retreat in takayna / Tarkine.
This time away is a chance to really slow down – to step out of everyday noise, move at the pace of the forest and spend unhurried days alongside other artists. Being held by one of the planet’s remaining temperate rainforests feels like both an honour and a responsibility.
I’m looking forward to quiet hours walking, sitting, stitching, drawing and simply paying attention – listening and allowing the gentle, immersive experience shape my creativity.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect deeply and explore how art can hold our shared hopes for care, connection and protection.
If you’re able, please consider donating to to support their ongoing fight for takayna / Tarkine.
