The Pioneer is a 1904 painting by Australian artist Frederick McCubbin. The painting is a triptych; the three panels tell a story of a free selector and his family making a life in the Australian bush. It is widely considered one of the masterpieces of Australian art.[Wiki] It is $40.

We have some great stuff in the op shop normally - but there are some really impressive bargains there right now - as you can see from the photos. The painted milk churn is magnificent - I couldn't see a price but based on everything else, it won't be much.
