It’s a treat to work each day surrounded by artwork from some of our region’s very talented artists - but we’re even happier when one of these artworks finds a new home!

Here is a small selection of the art we currently have for sale and we welcome to drop by and see the full collection.

It's always an exciting day when one our our talented local artists brings in their work!

There is an abundance of talent in our region, and we are delighted to offer artists a place to display and sell their art.

One such artist is the wonderful Julie Kent - Artist and here is just a small sample Julie's pieces that we currently have at The Bookworm Gallery.

We will be sharing more of Julie's work, as well as that of other artists, over coming months. Better still, please pop in and take a look for yourself!

What a treasure!

We are delighted to take possession of a 1965 edition of the Directory of Victoria, thanks to a very kind donation.

It's been fascinating to find people we know, and those who have gone before, listed in this book.

And, while we are not selling it, you are warmly invited to pop in and take a similar trip down memory lane 😊

"My goal was to create a lovely space where people could come and browse, to sit with a coffee in front of the fire and relax. You can come here and feel safe.

Connections are formed, friendships are made and people come here for catch ups. It's a real community hub," Dennis Melbourne, proud owner of The Bookworm Gallery.

Thanks Jenny McLaren and the Warrnambool Standard for this great article.

We were delighted to host the launch of two wonderful books during the Lake School of Celtic Music Song & Dance last week.

The first, Among the Wildflowers, a moving collection of poetry from Delia Tobin, Seamus Foley and Sally-Anne Watson Kane, brought laughter and tears to those of us fortunate enough to hear the authors read a selection of their poems.

Poems that evoke memories, that inspire, and that call on us to cherish - and hold close - those that we love.

The second, Eureka – Australia’s greatest story, edited by David Headon and John Uhr, captures incredible stories of courage, of mateship and of standing up for what is right.

Important stories in Australian history and ones that are at risk of being lost without the dedication of good people who keep them alive. The book was launched with stories and song by Jim Brown.

'Lake School' is always such a highlight in our year! We love welcoming this wonderful group of people to our little town of Koroit – from primary school children to seniors, all connected through a love of music.

It’s a wonderful tradition, held in the safe hands of the incredible organisers, and with many talented young people to take the music and tradition forward.

We love reconnecting with friends made over the years, and meeting new ones.

And it’s a joy to walk through Koroit listening to buskers on the street and the music sessions at Mickey Bourkes Koroit Hotel and Duke's Commercial Hotel Koroit.

We are always sorry to see you leave, but look forward to welcoming you again next year!
