Meet the Locals at Irymple Hub – Irymple Post Office, Newsagency & Tatts

Natalie is the co-owner of the Irymple Post Office, Newsagency & Tatts and has been part of the business since 2003.

As Irymple continues to grow in popularity, the volume of mail and customers has increased. The move to Irymple Hub from their previous location provided the larger space needed to support this growth and better serve the community.

Being part of Irymple Hub allows customers to enjoy easy access and ample parking, while the expanded space has also enabled the business to grow its range of giftware — supporting local shopping and local gifting.

Before purchasing the business, Natalie was a stay-at-home mum raising four children. Once her kids were old enough and at school, she took the step into business ownership. Prior to that, she worked at the Department of Human Services as a Housing Officer and Arrears Clerk.

Today, Natalie continues to provide a friendly, reliable service that plays an important role in everyday life in Irymple.

Meet Dr Junnatul Fardaus (Junna), Director and GP at Irymple Medical Centre.

Since taking over the clinic in 2019, Junna has helped grow the centre into a warm, welcoming and family-focused practice, designed around patient safety, comfort and compassionate care.

In 2023, the clinic moved into its new purpose-built space here at Irymple Hub, and today it’s home to a growing team of seven doctors, with two more joining this year.

While Irymple residents enjoy having the service close to home, patients also travel from across the Sunraysia region to visit the centre.

Bulk billing is available for consultations for children under 16, DVA, healthcare card and pension card holders.

MEET THE LOCALS – Ritchies IGA

Meet Despina 👋
An Irymple local and the deli manager at Ritchies IGA Irymple.

Despina started at Ritchies four years ago at just 16, and now runs the deli. She loves all the friendly faces, as well as prepping food and keeping the deli fridge stocked.

Along with serving the community all the classic deli favourites, Despina also ensures the fridge is packed with a wide variety of healthy options, from fresh salads to easy heat-and-eat dinners.

With busy schedules and less time to cook, it’s all about making life a little easier.

MEET THE LOCALS - Tankard Dental

Amanda Edwards’ journey with Tankard Dental began at 20 years old as a dental nurse.

Fourteen years on, she’s now the Practice Manager, helping ensure patients feel supported and cared for while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What’s kept her there?
No two days are the same. Dentistry is always evolving, and Amanda loves being part of a team that grows alongside it — while still focusing on what matters most: helping people feel comfortable and at ease.

Having Tankard Dental at Irymple Hub adds to that experience. It’s a calm, low-stress place to visit, with easy access and free shaded parking — which is why people choose it, even if they’re travelling in from surrounding suburbs.

MEET THE LOCALS – Bread & Butter Bakery ☕🥖

Dean Picken didn’t just open a bakery at Irymple Hub — he found a community he wanted to be part of.

After setting up at the Hub, Dean loved the feel of Irymple so much that he decided to move there himself. “It’s a great place to live,” he says.

“Alan has created something really special for the community. It’s a one-stop spot where locals can find everything they need, and every shop has its own personality.”

For Dean, the best part is the people. “It’s busy every day,” he says, “but it’s the kind of busy you’re grateful for.”

So what do locals keep coming back for? The award-winning sourdough, ciabatta, and pane di casa — plus the vanilla slice, which in 2025 took out 3rd Place at the Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph.

MEET THE LOCALS – Pan’s Takeaway Irymple

Brontë is a familiar face at Pan’s Takeaway — someone many locals recognise as soon as they walk in.

She loves how welcoming Irymple Hub is and enjoys getting to know the people who come through each day.

Starting with Pan’s at just 21, Brontë spent seven years at the Walnut store before moving to the Irymple Hub location four years ago, where she now manages the team.

For many families, Pan’s is part of the weekly routine. Brontë also sees many customers come happy to make the drive from surrounding suburbs.

Fish and chips might be what Pan’s is known for, but there’s plenty more on the menu — including burgers.
They also have value packs that help keep things affordable.

Brontë’s go-to? The cheeseburger.

Meet Brodie Jones.

Brodie can often be found training at Club Aquarius in Irymple Hub — a place he’s been part of since it opened in May 2021.

A handy footballer from the Dees’ 2025 premiership side, he’s back putting in the work ahead of next season.

He loves the convenience of Irymple Hub — fitting in a workout after work, then grabbing what he needs for tea, all in one stop.
